In 2003 I retired from a career in management consulting.  Inspired at an early age by a gifted art teacher at my school in Edinburgh, I have maintained an ongoing interest in Art and the Arts.  All through my professional career I continued to take advantage of opportunities to work in watercolours and life drawing whenever possible.

 

Since retirement I have focused on sculpture, painting and mixed media:  

• as a sculptor I work with clays,  various types of stone, and mixed media

• as an artist I sketch and paint, primarily in acrylics or watercolour.

A long time resident of Scarborough, Ontario, I am a member of The Art Guild of Scarborough and the Cedar Ridge Studio Gallery.  My work has won awards in many juried shows. 

 

I  also write stories, poetry and humourous verse and enjoy golf, curling, travel and photography in my spare time.
